Does your country has traditional costume? When do you wear it? My country has a few traditional costumes based on ethnics as well as national costumes. We wear them especially during festive celebration.

I guess it would just be jeans and tee shirt. In America we are made up of so many nationalities that this is hard to say. The Native Americans did have there own traditional costume, and since i am part Cherokee I guess that is my heritages historical dress, but as a nation, we are too diverse. What type of costume do they have in Malaysia? I am not so familiar with this culture.

Jeans and tee shirt? Wow..That's cool. Malaysia have many traditional costumes such as kurung and kebaya. People here also wear Cheong Sam and Saree as there's also Chinese and Indian here (Malay is the majority race here). Well, too many traditional costumes to be mentioned. :)

Yes my country has a traditional costume and people here wear it maybe all the time in some specific villages but not in the capital. People here like thier traditional custome and cannot give it away. But for me I never wear and I think I'll never wear it.

My country has national costumes. We have different kinds in the differnt regions. Both for men and women. Some regions have different ones for married and single people, and differnt ones for every day use and parties (I do not think anyone wears them every day anymore). You should be able to tell where a persons family is from by looking at the costume. A lot of people get one as a gift for their confirmation seremony in church, usually at about 14-15 years of age. People wear them at festive occations, like Christmas, national day, weddings, baptisms, confirmation servises etc. On the national day in may you see lots and lots of people wearing them as they come to watch the childrens parade. i think that is really nice.
