Okay I'll admit it..I get a right royal kick out of reading stuff like this..it is absolutely FACINATING to me that anyone who functions fairly well in society is actually completely off their damn rocker and pulls stunts like this...the last in my general area...A cocaine snorting teacher...
"Police said a substitute teacher accused of snorting cocaine in front of her fourth-grade pupils will face charges that could send her to jail for up to three years.
Lewiston-Porter School District substitute Joan M. Donatelli, 59, has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Pupils said they saw her use the cap of a pen to scoop the contents of a small plastic bag and place it to her nose on Feb. 1"

"A North Carolina woman was arrested on Friday night after complaining to Putnam County deputy about the quality of the crack cocaine she had purchased.
Eloise D. Reaves, 50, walked up to Deputy Jeffery Pedrick at about 11:30 p.m. while he was working a call at a convenience store located at the corner of state Road 20 and state Road 21 in the Hawthorne area of Putnam County.
According to police, Reaves told the deputy that a man in the parking lot had sold her bad crack. They said Reaves then took the crack from out of her mouth and placed it on the trunk of the deputy’s patrol car.
Pedrick informed Reaves that if the substance tested positive for cocaine, she would be arrested. When the test came back positive, Reaves complained that it was wax and cocaine mixed, and that she wanted the deputy to make the man give her her money back."
or there was the guy (I saw this on tv recently) who was drunk and got into a fight with a...HEDGE!! I am dead serious!! they had it on film this guy was arguing and fighting with a freakin bush!! then he'd walk away for a minute like he won the battle but then would turn around and go at this poor defenseless hedge all over again!! I was DYING from laughin so bloody hard!!
WHAT THE HELL?? where do these ppl come from? and how is they've not been locked up in the loonie bin??

it seems you have to be some special name brand of freakin' crazy these days to get locked up for it. The Sanitorium is more full than the jails are! And yet you continue to see people talking and arguing with themselves on the street and other looney things. These people are just freaking nuts. I had an ex-boyfriend who was a paranoid scizophrenic manic depressive and for most of the relationship he was one of the most normal behaving men that I have ever met.

I had to laugh while reading these stories, it really makes you wonder about some people, did they just want to get locked up? The one in the parking lot, what did she want the police to do? Maybe she was hoping that they would go and sort it out for her and get he the good stuff. I also wonder if the hedge fought back?

These are some really great stories, and I wish I had more to add to the collection but I can't think of any that haven't already been covered here. I did want to add though that I really enjoy them, and and hope to see more added to the discussion when I check back. Thanks for a great discussion.

Well those are good ones, and if you like things like that you really should check out www.darwinawards.com, I know another poster in this thread mentioned the Darwin Awards briefly, this site is full of nominees for that award. Its full of all sorts of idiotic things people have done, most (if not all) fatal.

Dumb criminal articles are among my favorites! They are good for a laugh.
I sat and watched a program about this and found it hilarious that a young man broke into a store that sells adult beverages only to get so drunk he couldn't find his way out. He tried to crawl on top of shelves and leave by way of the ceiling, but kept falling. He finally fell one to many times, pulling the shelf on top of him and rolling over onto many broken bottles. The jagged glass remained planted in his rear end and he actually decided to call the police himself so he could get a ride to the hospital.
