any ideas or explanations for this...?

has anybody got an explanation? my cousin myself and some friends went to borely rectory which is supposed to be one of the most haunted places in england. we walked around listened for noises etc and there was nothin. it felt like a bit of a wasted trip so we decided to take a walk around the church. i was standing not far from the church with someone and the othres were talkin amongst themselves. me and this other person heard a mans voice as clar as day coming from inside the church. bearing in mind this was a bout midnight to one in the mornin and no lights were on insisde! how likely is it that someone would be inside! we looked through the windows and could see nothing but darkness and im pretty sure someone checked the door and it was locked! i believe in ghosts etc but im the logical one in the group and try to think of an explanation before il believe its something paranormal, but i have no explanation for this one!

That sounds very creepy! I don't know if anyone could give you an explanation for this. In my opinion, if someone was really inside the church talking, you wouldn't have been able to hear it as clearly as you did, which leads me to believe it may have been something other worldly. Also, I don't see why someone would be in there so late with the door locked and the lights off, like you said. I have had my fair share of ghostly experiences, and often I hear voices clearly and see nothing. I actually have heard "someone" say my name clearly, almost like they were right behind me trying to get my attention. And of course no one is there when I turn around. So I certainly believe that you could've been hearing a "ghost". Could you make out what the man was saying at all?

no i didnt hear what he said it was like when you hear somone in another room and you cant actually hear the words but you can hear them talking. it was quite a loud strong voice althogh no1 but this other girl heard it. it was like he said a long sentence, stopped, and then there were a couple more words. what other things have you experienced? thanks for your response, i find this sort of thing really interesting.
