Are your kids sick?

I don't know what is going around in our area, but lots of kids have been sick with high fevers and headaches. My daughter is sick with this and also has a cough. Today she's missing her second day of school. My fiance took her to the doctor yesterday and they said it's a common cold. She's taking breathing treatments (she's asthmatic as well) for her cough and cold medicine. She's also taking prednisone, and if you're kids have ever taken that, you know that it makes them hyper. Have any of your kids been sick?

My daughter missed all of school last week because she was hit with a nasty flu that's going around town. She brought it home for the rest of us but she was definatly hit the worst.
In the mornings, when I'd phone the school to let them know that she wasn't going in for that day, the secretary would tell me that there were lots of kids out sick and some had been out for a couple of weeks.

Yes my kids have been sick. My youngest daughter has had this cough for about 2 weeks now and it just wont go away and the Dr said it's just a cold and not to worry about it and gave her cough meds. But,It does worry me about it. I never heard of the meds that you were talking about but, I wish you luck and hope your daughter gets better soon.

Yes my children have been sick all winter also . Not as bad as some years though . My three year old is the one I worry about the most as when she gets sick she always spikes really high fevers and we always have a hard time trying to bring it back down .
Three of my children take a puffer when they are not feeling well and this usually helps .

For the first time this school year, my daughter was out sick yesterday. She had a stomache bug. Only lasted a day. But when I called the school to let them know she wold be out, they said there was a stomache bug going around. I can't wait for warm weather, so I can open up some windows, and get some fresh air in here. :)
