I know everyone has a Bank Account. Do you know that the Bank can't do what they want to do with your money? that's how they make money charging you for overdrafts and for alot of things like fees for this and that. I have been banking with my Bank for over 20 years. I should have money saved up all that time but I don't I use it mostly for writing checks and saving money. and Direct Disposit. I just open up an seperate account for myself because my son and I have an account. I thought I would save some money, because I let my account close so I open up another one. I had 50.00 saved up in that account and do you know the Bank snatch that money right out My account, I was so mad. I called the Bank ask them why would they take my money out? You know what they said, well, you know you owe us from 7yrs, ago. why would they wait till now to take my money out? I thought that was wrong of them to do that. all these years I had an account direct desposit and checking account. and just now they decided to take my money, I had just started saving. well, It wasn't the money from Mylot but I thoufght that was so wrong. I am not working now just doing Volinteer work for Homeless Org. I don't know weather to take my money out and start anoither account at another bank or keep my money there. what do you think I should do. I don't even remember the incident it's been so long ago. I pay all my bills through this bank, credit cards Ins. other bills. I am afraid they might snatch all my money out and credit cards payment and other bills will get behind, I don't know what to do? If my Credit card bills get behind for late payments I am up $hit creek!!! and they could mess my credit up. with my credit cards.

I have had that happen before me to also, every bank is different and I would call and speak to someone at the bank expressing how you have had that bank account for 20 years and this kind of treatment is unacceptable, if they still do not want to do anything for you I would believe that would abe a sign to go with someone else. We are blessed these days to have many choices in banks, utility companies and other services we don't need to be abused like this, life is hard enough someone that does a service for us should not be allowed to treat us badly. I wish you the best.

I would go to the bank and find out how much more you may owe them before I decided to close the account. Was this the new one or the one you have had for 20 years? Same bank? I would also get a copy of my credit reports to see if it is on there. You can get your reports from all three credit reporting agencies free once a year. I think the website is www.annualreport.com If it was an old debt, it may have been written off, and when you opened a new account, it tipped them off. I would find out.

Banks are a business Marcia. They use our money for loans and investments, and on top of that, charge us all kinds of fees for this and that. Please speak to the bank manager concerning this issue. Also, if you have PayPal, keep the money in there. You won't get interest, but that doesn't amount to much these days anyway, just pennies. In PayPal they cannot touch your money. If you need it, ask PayPal to send a check. Or, transfer it out into a different BANK...get a new account special for MyLot money only. No one can touch that money. Don't put it into the bank you are using now. Good look.

Beind in collections like I was, banks are horrible and some worse than others. One of the biggest culprits is Bank Of America. Don't go to them. You should switch banks if they took money out for something that was 7 years old; they only have so long to take that money and it was long past I can tell you. Did you ask for proof? I would have them send you the bill or a explaination letter. Like I said they will stick you for every thing you have, and if they have done it once, they WILL do it again. Just speaking from both sides of the post.

You are so right. I can't believe right after that they send my Son a Letter trying to get him to open an checking account they offer him 75.00, now are they playing games or what. My Son and I have an account together. So they want him to get an account by his-self. I thought the people here that work at a bank bank would be neg. but at least you were truthful.
