Does anyone have a dog that loves the cat?

Our dog was a little over a year old when we got our second cat. The cat and dog play together all day long! The dog will grab the cat in his mouth and drag him around the house. The cat will look like some one dunked him in hair gel! It is so funny. When we walk the dog the cat follows and pounces on the dog just to get him to play with him. It is the oddest thing i have ever seen. Has anyone else ever seen that type of affection between a dog and cat?

I'v seen that with every dog that lives with a cat, assuming they grew up together but even sometimes if they don't. My dads old dog and cat got along just like that. When they would sleep they would cuddle together. The dog was a huge German shepherd. The cutest thing was one day I went over to babysit the dog while my dad was out of town for a few days...I brought My cat over, and the German Shepherd was petrified of MY little cat! the dog was whimpering and hiding and trying to make herself as small as possible. It was one of the sweetest things I saw. My cat was also afraid of the dog, but eventually realized that the dog was a wimp, so my cat started walking around like she didn't care either. The poor dad had a tough weekend while we were there. I lovve animals!!!!!!!

I have seen and heard this happened. Aren't they cute? I am thinking to get a puppy myself, since my cat seems to be excited when she sees the neighbour's puppy LOL I wonder why
