The practice of buying goods and services from another person or company instead of producing them inside the company. Outside suppliers can often benefit from greater economies of scale, and may have more specialised skills in the specific area. Enforcing specific demand levels is often easier when negotiating a contract with an outside firm rather than a unionised internal workforce.

well as far as i know outsourcing term means getting work done with more easier method with more available resources ! simple theory behind is ! American software developers or alike charges too much for developing the software or any ! so American companies hire other people probably of country which has goods manpower and workable and then give them work to do and do the task in few money ! so not only they save money but time !

outsourcing involves transfering or sharing management control and/or decision making of a business function to an outside supplier, which involves a degree two-way information exchange, coordination and trust between the outsourcer and its client. such a relationship between economic entities in an outsourcing relationship dynamically integrate and share management control of the labour process rather than enter in contracting relationships were both entities remain separate in the coordination of the production of goods and services. business segments typically outsourced include information technology, human resources, facilities, and real estate management and accounting. many companies also outsource customer support and call center functions, manufacturing and engineering. consequently, a debate has ensued concerning the benefits and cost of the practice as well as how to categorize it as a phenomenon. outsourcing differs from offshoring in that outsourcing is realtive to the restructuring of the firm while offshoring is relative to the nation. offshoring in contrast represents the transfer of an organizational functions to another country, reagardless of whether the work stays in the corporation or not. in short oursourcing means sharing organizational control with another organization. offshoring on the other hand represents s relocation of an organizational function to a foreign country, not necessarily a transformation of internal organization control.

addtion to the above, outsourcing sometime comes from a different country because they offer cheaper employee salary. Offshore, well how can I explain this... let me just give you an example of offshore work, oil rigs, seamans' work. usually things that done at the sea/ocean. well you need contact to companies that require outsourcing and this comes from several field as an example your local pizza resto might simple order a pizza dough instead for them making it. for offshore, you can be a rigger for oil companies or apply as an engineer or be a seaman and work on a ship. there are lots of work there
