no not yet. it is hot in my city as well and it never gets really cold here ever. i do not require an AC as the location of my house is such that it remains cool ever in peak summers. lucky me.

You are sooo lucky. I have to run mine all of the time during the summer and then I am gifted with a wonderfull bill that reflects the usage. grrr.

I live in Australia so it is hot over here too, I personally prefer to us fans and only use the air conditioner when it is extremely hot like it was the other day...so I guess Texas is not surposed to be hot this time of the year...

It is mid March now and I wish my partner would turn on the AC!!! I am burning up here! I have seven kids and I can not walk around naked! LOL And even then, you can not take any more off to try to cool off! I am in for a world of hurt this coming summer...because it is only going on spring. *sigh*

I can understand Texas needing an air conditioner however we in Ohio are just into the 40 degrees since the zero temperatures of about a week ago that had been around awhile. We don't have one since we don't want to pay the electric bill that comes with it. Also unless the humidity is high here in Ohio then the air conditioner is not needed. Hope you can find the comfort with all those cooking odors and the heat.

My daughter enjoying the 1st 75 degree day - This was taken on Friday Feb 16, 2007 our first warmest day of the year. It was gorgeous at 75 degrees.
I had to turn on my air conditioning both Friday and Sat for a little to cool it down in here as it was almost 90 in the house. It only got to 75 outside but with the laundry going and the dishwasher ect it just heats up. I think it's bizarre to run the A/C in the middle of Feb. Today however we are waiting for rain, the wind is coming down from the north so it is cold, it feels much colder than the temp because of the piercing wind. BURRRR this is why my family gets sick one extreme to the other in a matter of days.:) I attached a pic from Fridays beautiful weather.
