Unfortunately there are many of the cheap Chinese rip offs on eBay. I have seen people paying out hundreds of pounds only to get some unplayable piece of junk. There are a lot of counterfeit guitars out there now too, these days you have to be real careful.

This sure happens... As to me, I'd never spend a lot of money to buy a guitar on ebay. I bought my Stagg on ebay and I paid 110 euros for it and I'm quite happy with it (it is not a perfect guitar, as Gibson are, but for that price it's good).

That's a very good price for a decent Stagg. We picked up a lovely black Ovation 5 string last year, from an eBay shop which turned out to be local to us so we drove over and collected it. We got the guitar and case for £250, and it really is a beautiful instrument.

years ago some country cant remember for sure make a toki guitar which was a copy of a fender strat. Well these guitars where a lot cheaper than the original and played better then the orinignal so obviously fender not liking these descided to file a lawsuite against the company making them and these "lawsuite" guitars are very collectable
