Wicker furniture

I would love to have wicker furntiture for my apartment. Do you think that it is pratical or would last very long? I have seen a lot of different styles and tried some out a few years ago and they seem very comfortable. Some are ornate and other plain. What do you think? Do you like it or hate it. What would you suggest or brand?

Wicker needs care. I think you have to soak it one time year so it doesn't totally dry out. Most houses are way low on humidity and it is hard on furniture. And you too!.

I used to like the look of wicker furniture, it gives a very cool look, I am not sure I would want it as a lounge type furniture, maybe a sun room would be nice with all palms and exotic plants would be nice.

I love Wicker Furniture. I have two chairs on my porch. then, I have a wicker stool. that I rest my feet on.

I have had it in Florida. It is lovely, but it does tend to wear out with splinters. I don't know if one brand is better than another. But, the finish is important, as that will maintain it to last longer. The style depends on your own personal taste.

I love the wicker furniture too. I am doing up my craft room this year and I want it to be all white furniture with wicker and the country/pink gingham drawers.
Im not too sure about maintainance as this is the first time i will have wicker furniture.

i also like wicker furniture..they are very unique in style. but i never own one...in my childhood we had traditional chairs made up of wicker and wrought iron base... those were very delicate and beautiful and i always wanted atleast one piece at my home.... i dont know exactly what brands are good. you may find many brands available and check out the most you like... good luck.

I love the look of wicker furniture with the beautiful cushions. However I have found that for extended periods of sitting it becomes very uncomfortable. I'm not sure of the care that is involved. I would think for a patio or as suggested above a sun room, a place that is for casual and not used regulary would probably be better than a room in which you entertain and people relax for long periods of time. Just my own observations. Good luck! :0
