Has anyone gotten an offer from AC and decided to edit the article and resubmit it? What happens then? Are they likely to offer more or reject something after saying they'd accept it? What about the number of page views showing? Mine hasn't changed in a few days but I've gotten 2 more comments. How often is it updated? I do realize people sometimes read an article more than once. Does it just count one view for each place the article is sent?

I didn't know that you could edit an article and resubmit it, did they suggest that you do this? I usually just get an offer without any comments. I actually wish they *would* give me more input--like, 'if you added in more keywords, made it longer, etc. you could get a higher offer.' I think they said that they will update the page views once a week.

When they made me an offer (a pretty low one, I might add), they gave me the option of editing and resubmitting if I didn't want to accept. They didn't make any suggestions about what to change. Since it was my first article, I accepted their offer. Thanks for the information about the updates. I'll be sure and read some of your articles. You can find mine under the name Alicia Suenaga.

I know you can edit it after you first type it in, but I've never had AC offer me the option to edit and re-submit. I'd prefer it if they gave more feedback, if it might result in a better offer.

Hi, I write for AC also. I've had one article rejected that they requested I make a bit longer and resubmit. It's very easy to do. Just go in and edit the article and hit the submit button again. The only problem I had at the time was that they did not review it in the normal time frame. I'm sure this was because it had taken about a month before I was able to resubmit. I finally sent them an email and they quickly reviewed it and made an offer. If anyone is interested, I would love to see comments on my articles at AC, just search for my producers page: Kris McLeod. Thank you, Kris

Thanks, Kris. That's very useful information. I rated your article on cyberbegging a 5.

I did edit one and rexubmitted it just recently, after they started paying those funny amounts. I think they offered 25 cents more the second time. Since it was a short piece and I didn't have another market in mind, I let them have it.

Congratulations. Maybe that's just the beginning of a climb in offers for edited pieces. It would be nice to know what kinds of changes they wanted.

I've gotten rejected from them twice, once for a political article about Nancy Pelosi and once for an article about science literacy among Americans, which I wrote from a press release. They said that the press release was a rehash, but how do they expect breaking news (this article was supposed to be a $5 article for news)? Anyway, when they rejected these articles, I did not re-submit them but published them elsewhere. I would love to hear from someone who has had experience with re-submitting an article to Associated Content.

I'm glad they took the time to say why they were rejecting one article. Did they say why they didn't want the one on Nancy Pelosi? I've been wondering how they react to poltical ones. What other publishers do you use? I've checked out a few, but haven't found much that looks interesting. In fact, one had a home page with typos. That's pretty sad.

Once it's published, you can't edit it....at least I've never seen this function. The page views are supposedly updated once a week, but mine have been at 205 for the past two weeks, so I don't know what's up with that. As for the views, I'm pretty sure they count the total, not the amount of members who view your content.

Thanks. I was wondering if every time an article is viewed from the same place it gets counted. Say I read one that would interest my daughter, then show it to her here the next day. Is that one or two? Where can I find your articles? I'd like to read them. Mine are listed under the name Alicia Suenaga.
