I was sorting out my cd collection a little while ago and also going through all my vinyl too. I was surprised to find my old Pink Floyd albums rubbish shoulders with Black Sabbath, Rick Wakeman side by side with Motorhead. As I sorted everything out and put them back in the racks, I wondered what people here would think was better. So. Classic or Progressive? Tell me your favourite classic or progressive group.

I prefer classic rock and heavy Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Diamod Head, Motorhead, MetallicA, MegadetH, and so on. I've bought the ticket to watch on june a big concert in the stadium of Iron Maiden and Motorhead. there will be other bands too.
I just can't wait! I'm so curious to watch live Motorhead. I've seen Iron Maiden live once, they were so great!

I vey much doubt my partner would allow me to get rid of the vinyl, some of those albums are highly collectable now and worth a few quid

I prefer Classic Rock to Progressive Rock. My son has a lot of Progressive Rock and some of them I find to be quite noisey.
I too like Pink Floyd. Some of my other favourites are Queen, Stevie Wonder, The Mamas & the Papas and Cat Stevens but to mention a few.

My partner and I went to see Iron Maiden in December last year, true classic rock and a brilliant gig. I find it quite nostalgic when I look at my collection now. Thanks for your comment hun

My favoutite is Progressive Rock, I love bands like Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis (the old one, of course), Emerson Lake & Palmer, and so on, and I think that mos t of the material of this bands, can be consider classic rock as well. I get rid of all my vinyl collection some years back, and I regret it now.
