100 posts? I can't do it.

I'm sorry. I've tried. But I cannot find 100 discussions that interest me enough in one day to give a heart felt, well thought response. Am I a discussion snob? I don't think so. I believe that I, along with numerous others join sites such as this to find engaging conversation, mind bending thought processes, and titlating stimulation. Questions such as, "What is your favorite color?" or "How do you eat spaghetti; with a fork or fork and spoon?" just don't seem to engage my brain. That is not meant as an offense to people who post such questions. I can only assume they are trying to earn more money. It just isn't me. I welcome any responses, but please be aware, I intend nothing but the atmost respect for all.

Although I do enjoy the discussions here, I could not imagine posting 100 responses per day unless I am involved simultaneously with a few interesting debates. However, I do not have the time (or the willpower) to do this anyway, so I cannot imagine ever achieving it. Maybe on a rainy day far into the future when I'm sick in bed with nothing to do and nowhere to go.

I find it impossible to post 100 responses in one day. What I noticed about MyLot is that you get paid better for quality and not quantity. The most I've ever posted in one day is about 50. And that was being on and off of MyLot all day long. I would focus more on quality than quantity. Just my opinion. Lloyd

I agree it can be very difficult to find that many in one day. I have done it but it's not easy. Here are a couple of ways that might help you: 1. Check the discussions with no responses. Sometimes do a jump forward on them so that way you get ones for when you weren't online. I've found some gems that way. 2. Check your discussions from your friends and interests. 3. Pick a member on here at random and just go down their list of discussions and also the list of what they have responded to. I find a lot that way including some that had no responses and are several weeks old. I usually go under the users by location and then pick one from there. Hope that helps you find some interesting discussions. I agree there are days were it's really easy to find them and other days it's like pulling crocodile teeth. All we can do is do our best.

I do have a few members that I like to follow. Unfortunately, some of their posts are tooo intellectual for me. LOL. I like to have my brain challenged, not mangled. Thanks for responding, though. I will keep your other suggestions in mind.

LOL! I also have a few friends who start intellectual conversations that are way over my head. I have a good education and a Master's degree, and a few of these people can make me feel really stupid! I love to read their discussions and comments, especially the ones that I have on my list that are very educated and knowledgeable about religion, politics, government, and the environment. I know just the basics of those topics, and I find that anything I can add would be an embarrassment to the topic!

I love religion and political debates. As the daughter of a preacher, I always thought I could hold my own in a religious debate, but I find my self to be very stupid with some of the scholarly types I find here.

LOL, good luck. I find that my interest groups give me a vast degree of posts to respond to, but no where near 100, or even 75. Thanks for responding

I agree, I post in discussions that have interest to me and engage my thinkng process, for example, I am a San Antonio Spurs fan. I have had Ovarian Cancer. I have online business websites. I look for posts that make me think. There is a dual purpose, my gene line is highly susceptable to alzheimers, the more I engage my brain, the less risk I have. I love Jesus, I will engage in conversations about Him.

I've given up trying to complete a certain number of posts in any given day. There are times when there are quite a few interesting discussions that I can contribute to, but oftentimes this place is bogged down with the fluff discussions like "coke or pepsi?" or "do you like Shakira?". I can't be bothered putting my two cents into those discussions. Like you, I enjoy learning new things and considering other points of view, and the discussions I respond to have to be able to accomplish that and challenge me to think. I prefer to discuss back and forth rather than to respond with a few words and be done with it. I have found that sticking with my list of friends and being cautious about who I add as a friend helps. I also type in a search for my interests when I'm really desperate; for example, one of my interests is HIV/AIDS prevention, so every once in a while I will search the myLot discussions for HIV and see if there is anything new to respond to. I find it hard to come up with good discussions of my own; I got bypassed when they were giving out the genes for creativity and imagination, I guess.

Yeah, I mean, I just didn't join the site for the money. The money is just a bonus. If I had joined for the money, maybe I could make it happen. I create discussions that I have great interest in. I respond to discussions that get my blood pumping and my brain moving. With the exception of music and weird movies. LOL. Thanks for your response.

I think getting into that situation is not all that difficult in mylot... i do agree that it is difficult to find 100 discussions that might interest you TIPS: Try to start discussion on some sports that you love, i atleast have 20 responses on the sports that i love, Try to post for Hot topics or Top discussions... they have some better ones... Try to post for Discussions with no responses... Try to post in debate columns... I try these tricks ... i try to get as close to that 100 mark as possible... considering that i have a pretty good typing speed and average internet connection... i do okay in terms of responding to the max discussions per day

I am not sure what that 100 posts would do ... but even in general terms ... it would earn you some good amount... take it easy... try enjoying ... you will earn as the day passes

I've been a member of MyLot for about 2 months and I have a little over 200 posts. What I try to do is post a quality message that gets many responses. Then I respond to every person who post a message. I also try to visit post that my friends have made and reply to them. There is no way I can post 100 per day. I think the most I ever did was 50. Hope this helps. Lloyd

I can't imagine coming even close to finding 100 discussions in a day that I wanted to respond to. Generally I do around 10-20 a day I think. It just depends on how long my son's nap is that day and whether or not he sleeps in. I can't imagine having enough free time to write 100 quality discussions.

Since I cannot respond to my own discussion, I hope everyone reads this. I'm sorry I haven't had the time to respond to each of you. I truly didn't expect the discussion to be this long. But everyone who responded got a plus rating, if that matters to you. And I do very much appreciate each response. Take care all.

I'm a discussion snob too, we can start a private club, LOL. I think that there are ways of finding them the problem is the time in which it takes to find them. If I had all day long to do nothing but sit here and go through different avenues, but I have other responsibilities and am forever being interupted with "mom", "mom". I agree with you that I want thought provoking questions, or questions that ask for advise, if I'm able to give some, but I to don't care what your favorite color is, or how to eat spaghetti. LOL I like the more indepth discussions, I've seen a few that I wish that I had more knowledge as I would have loved to give a response. This is just my 2 cents worth, and I too mean no disrespect, we all have an opinion and we all look for something here. :)

Right, and I don't mean any disrespect. Some people enjoy the "fluff" questions. That's fine. But I work full time and I go to school and I am a full time mother. I want something to bend my brain. That's why I am here. Thanks for your response.

I don't try to post 100 posts a day. That seems a bit too much to me. I try to go for about 25 a day. I figure that I can find 25 discussions that I feel I have enough of an input on to make it worth my time to post a response.

100 posts - why would you do that - I'm new and have managed about three in the last day - is there like a major pay out for that many? I'm kind of like you - what 100 topics would be that interesting enough to discuss? Maybe I'll give it a go one day!

Well I'm trying to make 100 post in my first day. I don't think that the subject are out of interests. My real problem is my english as I'm not a native english speaker. Even with Firefox spell check, sometimes I can't express the right words. But at least I'm improving my english.

same as me, but I usually only find for 50 interesting topics, latelly I can't find those many topics that make me interesting enough to be reply, I only capable to find arround 20 posts, I think too many repetation topics lately, so I can't boost my posting, and don't meet my earn level.

True, it's very hard to find a good topic in here that would make you want to keep on writing. This place pays you by the quality of your post and so length is very important. So when you're presented with a bunch of questions/topics that aren't that interesting and you want to post about 100 replies just to earn enough, you find yourself blabbing.

I agree totally with you. Some nights I can spend a couple of hours here just going through all the discussions and find tons of good ones to reply to. Other times, I've spent 15 minutes and couldn't find more than a couple. I just skip all those silly questions. I guess those are the ones that will be deleted at the end of the month, so why bother...

It's been said that the only way to make money is to make about 100 posts a day. I just can't get there. I'm not in it for the money, but I did try. I just can't do it. Thanks for your response
