Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA. Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.

thanks for answering! and yeah, i was given a new laptop by my brother, and its OS is VISTA. My PC is running using XP, and I can definitely see the big difference between vista and XP.. although i'm not really a techy geek, i really don't mind the interface, etc..etc.. lol.. =) as long as my PC and laptop are working, i can go online, use microsoft office, play some games, listen to music and watch videos.. i'm satisfied.. lol.. =)

I don't have Windows Vista, and i'm not going to get it. The system requirments are too high, and my computer is not fit to it. I hope that in the during future, I will get a better computer, and then I will be able to use Windows Vista, because from what I have seen, it looks amazing!

I am still with my Win XP and happy with it.I think if your XP helps you do your job fine why go for an OS makeover.Sometimes these OSs are like a fad. They keep on launching upgradations after upgradations with the same or little change but they all work the same way in the end.

Earlier i too was using Windows xp-sp2. but now i have managed to upgrade to windows vista. I tell you it was the best o.s released by windows. It has all features that your computer needed. It has the latest graphic features to latest securityl like a 2 way firewall for Internet users.

I'm probably not going to get it. I've checked it out at the store and it's pretty neat but not necessary. They seem to be trying to copy several of the Mac applications.

in my experience with Microsoft, you shouldn't use it as of yet because like the initial release of XP it's still very buggy, you might want to wait for the 1st service pack before you purchase it.

yeah, there is no reason why you shouldnt upgrade to vista if you have at least 1 GB ram and a clock speed of more than 2 GHz
