Do you think Global Warming is a real threat? Should we do something about it? Can China refusal to sign the Kyoto Protocol that more carbon emission will come from them? What is the reason behind - Pres. Bush refusal to face the Global Warming Issue?

i firmly believe that the global warming is a existant threat to our society.evidence shows the climate is getting warmer and warmer, which exerts influence to farm industry and people's lives.but why some governments and countries are not willing to do something to postpone the process to protect human beings?i guess the reason is the huge expense to change energy resourse and profittable oil industry is hard to abandon.

If tomorrow you have to live without electricity, you have to take a long walk instead of riding a car or a bus, you have to cook your meal using wood or charcoal, you have to get water from deep well. There will be a drastic change of lifestyle. People are used to the comfort in living. Everything is run by electricity and gasoline. Most of the product in ordinary household are manufactured by use of electricity. Imagine a world without fossil fuel. You have to light a candle at night. It is not going to be easy.

Global warming is happening but what mankind does is dwarfed by natural phenomena. Mt. Saint Helens blew up in Washington State and injected more pollutants in the atmosphere in one day than all of mankind's pollutants in the entire industrial history of the human race. The same for other major volcanoes in the Philippines and Mexico. Each eruption duplicated all of mankind's pollutants in history. Yes, global warming is here because the sun is getting warmer, nothing more.
