I have been a canuck fan since their inception into the NHL back in 1969 and have faithfully followed them day in and day out.The latest walk-out suffered by the NHL changed my views as hockey as a sport or as a business. The strike may have helped in the states.but not in canada. The Canucks will only be ablke to go as far as Roberto Luongo can carry them. This is not the year for them to make a block-bustung trade as they are more than one or two players away from winning the Cup.Instead, they may want to give up one of their big players to stock up on young prospects/draft picks. The Canucks are still in the building process from the strike and are not ready to seriously compete with the offensive output they have now.Their defense is good(not great) and their goaltender is one of the best around.Build on that and set their goals for 2010so Canada can win Gold AND the Stanley Cup.

I would have to dissagree. 3rd in the Western Conference. For the NHL suffering after the lockout in Canada you only have to look at the 100% capacity rate in all the arenas in all 6 canadian cities. Roberto will bring Vancouver GLORY to the CUP and I will be there celebrating like no other!! They are not in a rebuilding phase (6th best record in the league). Know your facts lonewolfnan!

I htink th epick up of sobel and silinsky were what they needed added the depth to the blue line and a another center to help out. I think this is the year thye have to make a run for the cup or else they must start to rebuild
