What do you do when you have nothing to do at work?

i just stare at the monitor of my computer. :

i had this problem at my old job! I'd always feel guilty or like i was doing something wrong. i'll be honest, i spent time online crusing around on my sites. Sometimes I'd puddle around in my departments break room and refill the coffees lol, or i'd ride the elevator down a few floors and visit the cafeteria or the "health station" and check my blood pressure haha. I'd go into the bathroom and fix my makeup. Or sometimes i'd actually be productive and make VERY rough drafts of future design projects, couldnt design much though because i didnt have the details ahead of time.

There's always something to do at the places I work, personally I like to work the whole time so the time goes faster and I can feel proud at the end of the day of working hard because I'm lazy and sluggish and the only way I'm moving is if I'm getting something like being paid. So if my jobs done, I'll clean up, help somebody, take a bathroom break-learn something about the job I didn't know. Keep busy-me the busy bee.

i use to chat in online when ever i dont have work to do.my boss wont permit us to go out if there is no work.if we ask him to permit to go out, he use to scream on us and sometimes he use to give us extra work.so i prefer to chat when ever im free in my office..

I think it is natural to play games when u have nothing to do at work. But don't worry they say - Games stimulates the mind. But if u r free try to organise your stuff so that during the busy days u can find things easily (be it files-paperwork or on computer).
