LCD monitors consume less power than normal monitor.

yes its true lcd monitors consume less power than normal monitor. so if you are planning to upgrade your monitor then i think you should go for a lcd monitor. Its expensive than the normal one but by the course of time the money will get adjusted in the power consumption.

yes you're right anshnav, lcd monitor definitely use power much lower than crt monitor, but I'm allready calculate the expense while I'm using lcd and crt and compare with the depreciation on lcd monitor (lcd monitor have lifetime since it's using something like neon lamp as backlight), on 6 months ago price tag compare to the electricity cost is still more economic using crt monitor (not assumes the crt size usage and radiation, just value for money, but I'm sure for the next year or 2 years again crt will loose in economics count (on my count ^^!), just imho.

yes you are correct, my next monitor and tv upgrade is that only its thebset i think, and i will be going to buy sony for sure.

well yeah you are rigth lcd monitor consumes less power then normal one ! but i am using the normal monitor since long and i don't have money to go for lcd ! and also my electric bill is all from my office so nothing to worry about that ! then also i will see whether i have requirement of it in near future or not !

yes they have a less comsuption rate and is good for eyes but about life span of the product how long is!?
