i saw this story on tv. a mother had identical triplets and she couldn't tell them apart so she got each a tiny tattoo on their feet so she can tell them apart. i understand the circumstances but did she really need to inflict pain on them. did she really have to put something permanent on them. why not give them a bracelet or something. do you agree with what she did?

I thought you had to be of legal age to get a tatoo. I think thats just dumb, there are meny other ways to tell them apart like the example you provided.

you have to be of legal age to go alone, but with parent's concent it's ok. but even so, they babies had no say in it. i know it's just a small thing on the bottom of thier foot but now they are stuck with it forever.

I wouldn't have tatooed them either. Wow! I hope it didn't hurt those precious feet too much :(

I understand her reason behind doing it but I have to agree with you bracelets or having specific colors for the babies would have been enough. There was NO reason to put them through the torcure.

That can't have felt good on those little babies feet. I'll bet they were screaming the house down. I was going to say the same thing as you...some sort of bracelet, like one of those colored friendship bracelets or something like that...tattooing is a bit extreme.

Again I don't think a tatoo is the best way to go with there being so many health risks. These are infants and their immune system is not all that yet. Why would you take a chance on your baby getting ill. I think bracelets or somethink less permanent would do.

o my goodness. how could a mother do that to her kids. first i am not sure how she could not tell them apart, twins run in my family and no one has had this problem. there is so many other ways of doing this. put different colors on them one is always blue, one green it really wouldn't be hard. i hate taking my kids for shots let alone doing something like that.

I agree with you. Poor babies they had to suffer for putting these tattoos. It would be better to put chains with their names in it around their necks or a bracelet with their own name. Now those tattoos will be there for their lifetime.

I think that was a little extreme when could've done many other things like using colored socks or ribbons orlike you said bracelets.
