Banana and weight gain

Some of my friends dont eat the banana because they say that people put on weight if they eat bananas. But i feel that it is a wholesome food and it is better to workout than avoid a fruit altogether. Do you eat banana or avoid because it is a source of weight gain

I used to avoid it because many of my friends told me it increases weight. But then I consulted my physician and did some reading on the major benefits of bananas and how you can definitely avoid the weight issue. Bananas known for its wide benefits and low in cost cannot be avoided by most of us. Easily available, low in cost, easy to consume, fills up your stomach when your starving. But the trick is to limit your one time intake. Let's say you are having 2 big bananas in the morning for breakfast, you make sure you drink a glass of milk with it and do not eat anything else till your lunch. Otherwise you would only be adding in. Also, another better way is to eat it an hour before you exercise, because that would increase your energy level since it is high carbs and also you will burn it during the exercise. Don't forget, banana keeps you happy! ( considering if you eat as much as the monkeys do ) but it does since it contains the chemical tryptophan which is an amino acid that gets converted into the calming and sleep inducing chemical in the brain called serotonin which we all know is related to us being happy. Basically, you just need to balance it all. Eat and exercise solves it. Eat and sleep immediately and you get the weight on.

I dont think that banana is a source of weight gain.I like eating bananas however i don't think i put on weight.banana is not a friut which contains calorie.all fruits are good for people.

its very nice to see you discussing about banana.yes for sure i would tell it increases weight a lot.a single banana can do the trick.there is a place called Tamil nadu in our country.from there we use to get huge bananas and even a single banana is enough one day to increase the weight up to 10 kg/month.

I do love bananas as a matter of fact it is a good source of pottasuim.The problem is it's too heavy in the stomach.According to my blood type i have to avoid this fruits but i still eat it .I dont have any idea if it is a source gain weight.Some people slow thier metabolism when they eat banana.I know it has alot to do for your body as food nutrients.
