What a thought! Firstly I am not going to be buried as I don't like the idea of being put in a big hole. I would much rather be cremated. Any kind of a cheap coffin will do me, and the cheaper the better. I would prefer to leave my money to my family to spend on themselves rather than on an expensive coffin. It won't matter how much was spent on it or what shape or size it is, they will all end up the same after they are buried in the ground.

I burst out laughing when I read that, sorry no disrespect and without being morbid, I wouldn't care an inch what type of coffin that was used to put me in. I will be cremated so the coffin will be burnt anyhow, so it could be star shape, creme bun shape or a cube, I don't care. But it's amazing that people are requesting different shapes, what a waste of money, because I'm pretty sure they whack on premiums! It's certainly not a dying trade (bad pun) but thanks for making me laugh.

None, a cardboard box for me. The proper permits gotten and then planted out in my woods. Very little fuss and more money for a party to celebrate that I had ever lived. Good food, good company, hopefully dancing and great music. A garden party. That is what I wish instead of the fancy coffin.

OK - please don't laugh, but I have a bit of a phobia about burial, so I plan to be cremated, and my ashes thrown into the sea. I just have this horror of going into the ground! Therefore, I would want my coffin to be as plain, simple, cheap, and environmentally friendly as it could be. The shape really doesn't bother me!

I would want a winnie the pooh tree house coffin. Have my head sticking out of the hole, like pooh was when he got stuck.

I would imagine that it would be of very little interest to me since I am not likely to be able to appreciate it. Burials may be preferable for the family and friends left behind, but I strongly believe that cremation is the only practical direction nowadays due to the vast amount of land involved for graveyards.
