You share something very personal with someone you trust and consider a close friend only to find out that this person is now spreading rumors and stories about what you shared with them.
What do you do? Do you seek revenge, do you confront the person or do you just hold your head up and continue on with your life?

I think I would likely just hold my head up and continue with my life. Obviously I wouldn't trust this person anymore, and likely I would try to have nothing to do with them in future.
If they came to me to try to explain what happened, I would let them, but I doubt I would confront them. I just don't feel there would be anything to gain from it. The damage is already done, and if they really have an excuse or reasoning, it's their job to come to me to offer it.

You wouldn't believe how many times the same thing happened to me in life. I have only known 3 people in my life that have never done that to me - yet. It's my husband, my best friend and my ex coworker. Others, I'm not sure of.
For some I did my revenge, although this didn't mean I got it "even", but I'm still pleased with the results. For some others, something happened to them so now I believe karma exists. I guess they upset others too and so these people "got to them" before I did hahaha I think it's interesting!
Some things I just held my head up since if the person has higher position and a tongue-twister expert, I could never get even with these people. This is where I let karma does its magic, which proves to generate better results actually.
You might want to know why this person did that, maybe you have hurt him or her in the past, so consider this your karma because you wronged someone yourself. But if you never hurt this person, don't lose sleep over it. Do your revenge if so you wish, or let karma works on that.

I would rather speak to this person and ask her why she's spreading rumors and stories that I have shared and entrusted to her. I wouldn't want to seek revenge coz I believe people make mistakes and that person could have made a mistake and not realize that. It may sound too naive but I would like to give this person a second chance to redeem herself. If in any case it doesn't work out then I guess she's not worth to be my friend at all.
