Easy change on store bought pound cake

If you don't have time to bake, but enjoy too. Cut corners with a store bought pound cake. You just have to slice it like bread slices, about 1/2 inch thick. Spread your favorite jam on each side, then push it back to form the rectangle it came in. Then take a store bought or homemade frosting, and frost it.

What a great idea! I would also be tempted to slather whipped cream all over that!. And maybe some chocolate sprinkles.

Hi! Oh, that sounds just yummy! I'll try that! I used to always use store bought pound cake to make shortcake. I always topped it with sliced bananas and cool whip, and sometimes some chocolate syrup or hot fudge if I was feeling extravagant! :-)

Hi! I made this yesterday for a quick dessert treat. It was really easy! I used peach preserves between the layers of cake and frosted it with Whipped Cream frosting (store bought). It's yummy! Thanks for a great easy idea. :-)

I would not have thought of doing that; it's a good idea. I will try it next time I buy one. I really like homemade pound cakes, they are one of my favorites. Thanks for the idea.

I just put a home made pound cake receipe on. But, if you are in a rush, this tastes really good. You can slice and have whipped cream layers or jam, just push it all back together and coat the whole cake. Nobody would be the wiser. Hehhe.
