Ok, my sister is now engaged! How crazy is that -- she'll always be a kid to me. So anyway, my future-brother-in-law is the brother of the keyboardist for Gym Class Heroes. Kinda neat, huh? So anyway, she just got some of the pictures from last summer's Warped Tour, and she's in several shots with the band on stage! WooHoo!!! In the one I've attached she's the girl with the big white sunglasses and pink tank top in the back left. (the guy in the blue t-shirt next to her is her future hubby) You can see a bigger version of the pic here: http://x10.xanga.com/ef7d74f459d34108378347/w76892597.jpg
Now, maybe for some of you, being on stage with a band that is blowing up the charts is no big deal, but I think it's pretty cool. Anyone else ever had this type of experience???

Okay I am off topic, but I drove my son and a bunch of his friends to Warped Tour in Calgary Alberta Canada last summer. I drove so they would not have to find parking etc. Wait till I tell them that dear old mom knows somebody who knows somebody that's related to a band member lol. And I have the pictures to prove it . Even funnier!

Congratulations on your sisters engagements. It sounds like you are very proud of her accomplishments. It is lovely to see you get on so well with her.

Wow, that really is awesome! I've never heard of the band though, sorry lol. I hope you get lots of backstage passes. ;] I've never had anything like that happen to me. Except one of my best friends Uncle is the guitarist for The Stone Roses. That's pretty cool.

Yeah, the band's not really my cup of tea... but they're getting lots of airplay right now and are considered one of the hottest in the country. They were on TRL (on MTV) a couple of weeks ago. Getting all kinds of rave reviews too. Lots of folks consider them to be the "next big thing."
