I heard that Yankie Doodle went to town riding on a pony but was he really wth that feather in his hat?

I'm sure he was very suave and wearing a feather in his cap. That would not be my question... my question would be, "Did he really call it macaroni?" Ha ha ha ha ha I think somebody had difficulty with finding a word which would rhyme with pony! :-) Brightest Blessings and thanks for making me laugh!
