i'd like to speak up on behalf of the music genre of hip-hop, to all the people who refer to it as "noise, just people talking, and continous profanity". rapping is a way of expressing yourself and in no other genre can anything come close to rap battles and freestyles, as it just comes down to quick thinking and creativity. it is true that some rappers may use profanity a little too loosely but that is not true for all. also there is no other genre that is as effective in clubs and dances as hip-hop. country and rock cannot provide trhe quick, uptempo beats and catchy refrains that club songs offer. all in all, lay off the rappers, the pioneers of the music world!!!

That's a very interesting point of view. Some of it is actually true though. In rap battles and other things like that it does come down to quick thinking. You have to think up rhyming words on the spot. I use to do improve in highschool and it does take quick thinking. As for the statement "also there is no other genre that is as effective in clubs and dances as hip-hop. country and rock cannot provide trhe quick, uptempo beats and catchy refrains that club songs offer" That isn't entirely true. Real rock has many quick uptempo beats. Have you ever listened to anything called a hair band? Try those, they are much better then rap for it. As for the catchy refrains that part might be true. I've heard some of the rap songs and all they do is have a few words and repeat them over and over again. That way they don't have to think when attepeting to sing along. "all in all, lay off the rappers, the pioneers of the music world!!!" That just made me laugh when I saw that. Do you have anything to back that statement up? They are in it for the money and themselves. Real musicians know it's about the fans and the music. Sure some of them just tour to make a buck but the fans still pay the money to do that. I can't think of any rapper that people still pay money to go see when they are washed up. Basically what I mean is will anyone care who 50cent is 10 years from now? Unlike any other genra of music, I doubt it.
