Let's admit it, there's no such thing as perfect. I have a good relationship with my parents although there are times when we argue a lot. I guess that's the challenging part of being a parent and a child. We can't avoid to clash at times but still I love my parents and our relationship is great. I can tell them what's bugging me without worrying they might nag or something. My parents, my siblings and I are like friends. Cool!

Well, I'm the youngest of 6 children and I'm also the only girl. One might assume that I'd have been a true daddy's girl, but sadly that's not the case. I always felt that my dad just thought of me as a burden and I never thought that he liked me very much as a person. I was 22 years old when my dad passed away. He had cancer for about a year before it took his life, but I must tell you that in that year I became closer to my dad than I had ever imagined possible. Before he became sick he was a real hard azz who didn't show his emotions often (maybe that was because he was a Marine when he was younger?), but throughout his illness he did loosen up and expressed his love for me and the regret he felt for the way he acted towards me. I love and miss him very much and I thank God for the good times we shared during his last year here on Earth. My mom and I have always been close. We've always had open lines of communication...she's wonderful! I can only hope that I am half as good of a mother to my daughter as my mom has been and is to me! I love you momma!! xoxoxox
