Cooking--Job or Hobby?

One of my friend cooks cool and obiously delicious items.
We called him shapi.But He loved to do this.
If anyone tasted his recipes and give comment,only that makes him happy.
He wanted it as jobs.
Do you think his future is enough good as a doctoror engineer?Is hobby give a job or help to get job?

Why not do both. Maybe he could write a recipe book and be an engineer too.
