Why do people pull in the fast lane and then slam on their brakes and slow way down? Are they afarid someone might pass them? This drives me absolutely nuts. I hate it when people do that.

I have no idea why they do this, I thought the idea was to keep in as slow a lane as possible so people traveling faster could get past, I would never go in the outside lane unless I was turning or had to overtake, I always move back in. Some people are just dangerous.

We expect that everyone who gets into the fastlane are in there because, they do not want to have the pace of the slow lane. We will understand its occurrence if the cause for slowing down is having been caught in a traffic jam. But, for them to be going slow in a fast lane for no reason is beyond me. Who will ever understand an attitude like that? Perhaps a regulation should better be effected to address this problem.
