1. You can scoop off the thin surface layer while the worms head downwards in the bin. 2. Lure the worms with fresh banana peel. This takes 2-3 rounds, until all 2 weeks old worms are harvested. 3. Using worm harvester, made of stainless steel screen. It is basically a tilted rotating cylinder made of screen with a "solid wall" end that you gradually dump the bin contents into. The processed casting will fall to the collecting box under the harvester, while the worms will roll downhill inside the cylinder into the solid-walled "collector"

That is a good idea but seems a little messy. What is the soil medium in which you raise the worms. Are you using worms you found outside or did you buy them from a seller? What kind of worms are they? Red worms? Night crawlwers?

IMHO, the easiest method is the second one, using fresh banana peel in a bucket or plate. They'll be attracted like a rastafari to ganja. I use bought worm, fishing supplies ussually sell them for bait. They're the one on the pic, I forgot :P For the further info check out www.oggrofaq.com, basic topics, organic

The best worms to use for vermicomposting are red wigglers. Their worm castings are great for growing! Josh http://rottenapplewormfarm.com
