what is your thoughts on tattoos in general?
tattoos are wonderful it is a way to be different from one another it is a way to show your haritage or beliefs or your creativity.
why do you think that businesses dislike tattoos?
alot thing tattoos are not business-like.. that anyone with tattoos can not have the brains to run a business. they look down apon it as if they are brainless beings with no morals.. Yet almost everyone i know at least has a small tattoo.. now a days everyone has one you might find older people or just a few that dont have one.
do you think that alot of people actually have tattoos?
why would you hide your tattoo?
when i got my first tattoo it was for a reason. my father got it for me and my mother also.. but there is alot of meaning to my scorpion tattoo i put it on my lower are so everyone could see it because i was proud. I think of tattoos is of a indian stand point be proud of them and have them to show as who you are because they will be there when you die. I never do want to hide any of my tattoos but any business i go to makes me which really pisses me off..

I love them i have 3 tattoo's an ankle bracelet,small plate size on my shoulder blade and 2 roses the size of the palm of your hand on my chest. I will eventually get more, i like mine to be where i can cover them if i want to or have them to show off. I think un-inked people see them as trashy because only bikers or criminals used to have them (times have changed but thoughts and opinions havnt) and there is also the proffesional people aspect like the last poster said. I personally dont like evil looking tattoo's or women to have tattoo's on their arms or face and neck but thats just me and each to their own. You either like em or you dont.

well the meaning of the scorpion was the strength between my dad and me and it is also my goddesses animal.. then i also had one as a pet and well i loved the scorpion king movie and well the godsmack song for it where he was riding on his bike and got stung by one..

To me tattos are one of the best forms of artistic and philisophical expression someone can just look at you and know the kinds of things that you think and feel. I try to put a lot of thought into what I want to put on body. There is so much I want to say but only so much space for the ink. Then of course there are the money issues and finding the right artist.

I personally love tattoos..they're a very ancient idea, and I believe as long as it makes a person stronger, makes them feel better or more confident, or at the very least means something to them, then they're an awesome and very empowering thing.
As for businesses..well it's a stereotype, on girls they think that the girls will invite boyfriends (or girlfriends in some cases) to work, mess around, steal stuff..and with guys they mostly think of them as criminals. It's not fair, it's discrimination..but what can we do?
I wouldn't say ALOT of people have tattoos, but a good amount of them do these days. Maybe three out of every five.
I'm planning on getting some tattoos in the future, they'll be on hideable places, but I won't always hide them on purpose..mainly because I love them, and another point is, with the kind of job I'll probably have (which has nothing to do with the discrimination against tattoos, I'll be self-employed) it'll just mean I'll have to blend in, which is why it's very conveniant for me to have the tattoos on hideable places.

I like tattoos. I have one on my lower back. However it is seen as unprofessional to have visible tattoos. I don't agree with it but that is the way things are. For this reason and for my choice in career (nurse) I will only get tattoos that I can cover up.
