I've dabbled in most mediums, ie., pencil, paint, oil pastels. I've most recently begun using soft pastels which seem to be a good all around medium. From my own experience, I've found that drawing skills aren't as important with pastels because they tend to enhance the drawing. They seem to lend better control for the brush-shy artist (blush) than a brush, or a pencil, and because they're opaque and so blendable they're very forgiving. Its working with color and composition, as with a painting, while honing those skills, which I can transfer to the brush when I'm ready. And, I simply find pastel paintings to be eye pleasing.

Needlework or cross stitching. I just love that. In fact I'm planning to cross stitch my face and my future bf too. I think it's pretty neat. Music? I am only as good as 50% when it comes to making my own like playing piano.

I like and use watercolor paint the best. I also love silhouette/scherenschnitte cutting with a scissor. That's my favorite. Look at my website: www.mgcreativearts.com You can see may short video on there of how this rare art is done.
