Sell your market value for what it's really worth on the Internet!

Guess what? Web sites, including Mylot.com, take advantage of your market skills, make a lot of cash, and then give just a tiny bit back to you. Now to be fair, Mylot.com appears to pay the most, in my view, but what I've noticed is that as my discussions become more and more popular and responses some more and more often, that is not necessarily being reflected in my rate of pay so far. The only way to get further up the pay ladder is to make better and better posts, improve and not degrade discussions, promote and not ridicule, and entertain rather than criticize! I've noticed that my more upbeat, positive posts make the most impact. So pep up the site rather than bring it down. Don't complain, entertain! And keep teaching all of us a little more about yourself. That's the fun of being on Mylot.com, of becoming a true "Mylotian!"

I agree with the previous response. Although you bring up some great points, all of which I agree with, there are many cases where good writers with decent posts and conversations seem to be penalized or victimized with this rating system. I know what myLot's explanation is (I read the Alert the other day), but I do not believe that the ratings are at all accurate or fair. Look at yours! You should have a 9 or 10 based on your writing, yet it is much lower. This is most likely due to the fact that you're not shy about expressing your opinion, which is a good thing.

It is true that the most entertaining posts seem to do the best on this site. However some of the best written posts I have seen are ones that are looking at contraversial issues, and the writers have a low rating because people are judging them by their opinions and not by their writing skills.

Yes I have to agree with what you are saying here it is true, mylot does pay more than any of the other sites. I love mylot and find it really great to give out information to help others with any problems, the only way to get paid more is to put something informative so that others respond to your discussion. It is always best to entertain, and of course teach other about ourselves and our country we come from.
