Now that IS odd!

oft times people will say little trite cliches that make little sense. For instance I will refer to the appliance that heats up our water as a "Hot Water Heater" er, if the water was already hot, why'd we need a heater for it? My mother was one to always unthaw some meat for dinner the next day. Um, Mom, you are going to freeze it? What odd phrases such as these have you heard, or use yourself? Fess Up :)
