Why is it that so many Pop culture Icons are falling off of the bubble? Probably because they failed to meet or exceed the expectations of their fans. Have you noticed that unlike generations in the past the current generation is a lot more "hands on" with their idols. They make em and if they behave incorrectly they break them just as quickly. The fishbowl lifestyle of the rich and famous can be confining though? What do you think? Are pop-culture icons just ill mannered nuevo riche who don't know how to act or does the pressure to be "on" all the time eat these fragile egos alive?

Years ago we did not know what the majority of pop idols got up to. Luckily we didn't have Hello mag and all the others to give us a daily run down of what these people eat, sleep, wear etc. Nowadays we feel as if we know them personally and this is not good for them or us. We should just enjoy their music and leave it at that. I don't want to know their sordid lives or what reason they are in rehab, there's more important things to think about. I do blame the media though, they will build them up and then watch them fall. They are all just interested in what sells and how much money they can make. I mean headline news in our country that Britney Spears had shaved her head. Please!! I would like their money but I would not want their fame.
