It's summer now in the phillipines, and the resorts and beaches are starting to get filled and staffs are readying all their facilities. People are packing their summer swimwears and searching for the best place to spend their summer vacation, looking for the simplest, cheap but has good amenities resorts that they think they can afford. So guys, are you planning to spend your summer? If so, where would you spend it then? Any tips on some cheap but great resorts or places that you've been to? Any place that you can refer would be of great help..

It's also summer here in Thailand and it's hot like hell. Would be good to dip in the pool or go to the beach. As much as I want to make a trip north of Thailand, I am too tied up with my schedules.

white beach puerto galera - http://www.puertogalera.net
Actually summer officialy starts on March oh anyways, my family and I are going to Boracay for the summer to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. WE're also planning to enroll our son in swimming classes or some other sports that he might enjoy. If you want to spend some time in a great & affordable beach try going to puerto galera mindoro. You can find a good accomodation for only Php700 if your'e good to haggle, the food costs around Php100 per meal, while Php1000 is enough for a roundtrip transportation. A little tip, some of the puerto galera resorts on the internet are not located near the beach. Don't forget the sunscreen!

yeah, summer is indeed here! i would love to go back to Coron, Palawan. I miss the sunsets there and the hike to Mt. Tapyas. i would recommend Coron, Palawan to you. ive stayed there for almost 2 years. they have a nice beach and nice sceneries. it's pretty laid back as compared to boracay. very peaceful place. negros navigation leaves manila for Coron by thursday afternoon and goes back to Manila Saturday everning. also superferry leaves manila for coron on friday afternoon and comes back to manila on Sunday everning. so you could go there on thursday through negros navigation and come back to manila through super ferry so you will have more time to explore the place. also there's a plane going to coron everyday (SEAIR) but it's kinda expensive almost 4000 php. and if your there, a nice pasalubong would be roasted peanuts, seafoods and a rain maker...if you want more info about this just send me a PM. cheeers!

That would be good, but I think maybe next time!;) I've already prepared myself, along with my friends for Pagudpud, Ilocos, Norte. Just wondering, what did you do in Palawan? Is it a part of your job, or you have relatives there also?

Boracay and batangas are both good summer get-aways!;) If you can afford, try going to Isla Verde, they have a resort there and I think the place is good. I've been there, though not on the resort itself. It's an island with a two-hour boat ride from tabangao, batangas. I'm sure you'll love the boat experience!;)

if someone want a very affordable and very accessible resort for summer getaway, i will suggest Puerto Galera. Boracay and some resort in davao is good also but cant be bother to travel so long.
