Based on what I've known, they say that if your mother gave your name when you were born you are an intellegent person. Do you think so?

As for me I don't believe so because if you are going to be intelligent that is from your destiny and not from who names you. Another thing is that what God has created can never be changed so therefore if you will be intelligent in life, it will surely be and vice versa. Also I don't know who gave my name, whether it is my mother or my father, I just don't know but am also intelligent though I am not really a guru but I still have some compliment from friends, family and others. Tell me from your own vain whether if your mother names you, you will be brillant or not?

Yeah I think so. We can actually get our intellectual capabilities in most ways especially if we study hard and if we were trained by our parents in brilliant ways. I guess it's really hereditary. Thank you.

I don't think that who named you determines your intelligence, most children are named by agreement of both parents.

Yeah I think that too. It must be in their genes also. Thanks for the response :)

I don't believe in this at all. It's just a superstition. My mom chose my name as a memory to her lost brother. I am very happy with my name. I am sure that if my dad could choose my name, I still would be the same person as I am now. It doesn't matter.

My name is a variation on my father's name. But most of my life I didn't realize I wasn't named after him, but after a nurse in the delivery room when he was born (and I guess he was named after her). The doctor had said he was stillborn and they were packing up, so to speak, but this nurse thought she's see if she could coax some life into him.. and did! So that's how my father and I not only got our names, but got to live.. :))

I've never heard that before. My mother did name me, but I thought you normally inherited your intelligence genes or DNA from your mother anyway??

My Mother told me that a Nurse from the hosiptal named me. My name is Marcia' but every one wants to call me Marsha now I really hate that name. moost of my friends call me Marcie, so you can call me Marcie, I nver heard of thatsaying before. It sounds interesting, I think most mothers have named their child, or children.

Hi Marcie. My mother gave me my name too. According to them they want my name to be Flordeliza because my sister's name is Eliza. I can't figure ot how my name goes to Marites, lol.

Oh! I don't think which parent named you makes a difference to intelligence. But I'm hella smart! Should I think my mom? lol

My mother chose my name. She named me after the main character in a Grace Livingston Hill novel. A mans name. lol I love my name! Since my mother named me a mans name, I named our first daughter a generally male name, and she says she will carry on the now "tradition" and name her first born daughter a male name. Finally, I started a family tradition! I feel so proud. hehe

Of course it was my parents. My parents don't have a good taste though. My name is very common. I am sure my name is everywhere all over the world. I just hope my mom gave a little more time to think of a unique name for me. My brothers and sisters name are all easy and like 3 to 5 letters only. Nothing special.

I don't believe to such things as those, I think it's just a thing that people should be more aware for them to pick up a good namme in giving their child to. Well, as for me, my father was the one who gave me my name. I had two names the first was derived from the month I was born -which is march. The second was that he gave to me his first name and I adopted it, so I have to sets of first names!;)

My name is a combination of my parents name. Francisco is my father's name, and Patricia, my mom's name, so my name is Francia.
