http://www.uso.org/whatwedo/specialprograms/Here is a site where you can go and sponsor a care package for your service men. Things like a camera, shaving gear and other items are included and I think it only costs 25 dollars.
There are other different programs too.
There are 130 centers and there might be one near you!Just thought if you didn't know you just might want to.

just to spread some extra info
there is also www.anysolider.com and you can write letters and send care packages to them. I have used this site before.

I agree they are on the job in a foreign land and may not agree with the politics involved. We owe then appreciation and care. I hope you can coordinate with this site...without the Here of course in the link..lol
There are different programs so I am sure they could something that the VFW could utilize. Thanks so much for responding.
