Thia morning in Manatee County, A man pulled up to a bus stop and ordered a child in to his car. the man had a gun. The child said "n, I don't know you" The man brandished the gun again and oredered him in the car again. At which time he did get in the car. There were 12 kids at this bus stop. They alll ran home told there parents. There is now an Amber alert out for the car, the guy and the child. But I fear it's too little too late. This stop had a dozen kids(witnesses) and it didn't stop it. My own daughter'sus stop has about 12 kids, now I wonder just how safe is she? She is in junior high, as were these kids. What's next? If kidnappings are happening like this now I actually think for the first time I'm truly afraid for my child as she waits for school or comes home.

I just heard about this as well and it is scary. I looked to see if there was anything on the web on it and thankfully I fould out that the child has been found. For more information you can read about it here: http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-02-23-abduction_x.htm?csp=34 It's still a very scary happening. Most I know think that kids are safe in groups at the bus stop. Obviously that isn't always the case anymore. Not sure what we can do to help protect the kids in situations like this.
