Do you get scam emails from Nigeria and responded to it?

My inbox is swarmed with emails supposedly coming from Nigeria from widows and children of oil magnates who died either by ambush or was kidnapped by rebel groups. All of them seeking 'my help' to collect their husband's/father's frozen assets of gazillion dollars that they cannot claim themselves, complete with news clippings of the supposed ambush or killing of the dead gazillionare. I have never fallen to any one of these stories. In the first place, why would they choose me, of all people, to help them out? Where did they get my email anyways? Oh well, have you received any email of this kind or even responded to it? This has SCAM written all over it. They will just get your bank information and clean your account so please be forewarned.

Yes I also get sometimes such kind of mails.Their stories are quite similar. They are looking for someone who can take care of their fortunes made by their family members who were killed by rebels etc etc........ I still don't know how do they get the email addresses. If I get such mails I alsways write them back that I am ready to help if they send me 75% of the money by western union. And after no reply. This is the best way to get rid of them.

Wow, I haven't really thought of that. That should drive them off. Nice one, I must say. :) Thanks for sharing!

I get loads of these, I simply delete them. Unfortunately they are very good at harvesting email addys and continue to use them regardless

Yes, they actually are good at harvesting email addies. I wonder if anyone actually falls for them as they seem so fake.
