I have tried this and it works event if I don“t have any inspiration at the moment.
I just take an acryl colour and mix it with water, brush it on masonite or a canvas. Put on some different colour/s and let the colours float into each other.
Spray on some more water and see what happens when you move it all into different angles.
Then I let it all dry and there it is, a background that can make any painting exciting.
By that time I usually feel inspired and can start making the motive. Sometimes I see contures of it in the background and just use a little imagination and colour to make it to a picture.

It's always a feeling. From something I hear, read, see..it creates a feeling. The feeling's never the same lol. It urges me to make something. ANYTHING of it.
It can result in a song, a story, a painting, a drawing..a different style of make-up on my face (usually patterns and designs), it could turn into a photography project..the mediums are endless.
That's just me lol.

It's usually my ever-changing moods, but more than that, the things that I am attracted to. I tend to be very introverted in this. I tend to prefer dark, dramatic tones and imagery and I like the more complex, ornate styles, so as a result those are the types of looks and feels I aspire to. These days, I find myself particularly inspired by my family history in Hamburg, Germany and Old New Orleans (19th Century).

My writing or literary creativity is affected differently than my painted or sculpted creativity. My literary creative channels are affected by my emotions, interactions with people, social communications and behaviorisms observed through daily mundane tasks and chores that get me out of the house and out into the public.
My painting or sculpting creative channel is somehow restricted to just me and a higher power, little social influence of anybody, robably making little sense to anyone else but me, and demonstrating a definite starnge and unusual perspective of the world i artistically reproduce.
My sensitive nature and how I am addicted to solitude and conducive elements like water, mountains, fields, valleys, forests and of course the very occasional rock concert, outdoors--all contribute to my artistic flair demonstarted in both picture and word expression !

I can create anything if I am in the right mood and my creation comes out perfect if I am inspired. When I do landscape painting, I need to concentrate about the scene, the feeling is important to me. In fashion designing I can sketch immediately if the material is present in my sight, if there is no material I just draw plainly a figure with a beautiful dress design.
