should Melo, fresh off a suspension for acting like a thug been allowed to play in the all-star game, one of the highest honors in basketball?

Yes. He is the leading scorer in the league. David Stern, the commisioner of the NBA, was the one that gave Melo the suspension. And was also the one that selected him to go to the all star game. He also played very well in the All-Star game. Who else should have gone??? Any answer you can come up with, isn't more deserving talent wise of getting a spot on the west all star team.
