Does anyone collect cuff links?

I've been collecting them for a few years, in a small sort of way. I only collect the ones that are interesting to look at, rather than the expensive ones. I have ones with animals on them, and insignia from companies, and car manufacturers' ones, and garish ones that other people wouldn't wear in a hundred years, and ones with heads of people, or maps of countries.

No, I do not collect those. Your post caught my attentio though, I had never heard of anyone collecting these. It's neat though when you think about it. I can remember my dad having them and wearing them. It brought back fond memories I might add. They are becoming a popular item once again I do believe. I see them in some of the finer stores again. What a unique item to collect.

I guess people didn't collect them in the past so much because everyone was wearing them! :) Seriously, cufflinks have been a collector's item for two or three centuries, because there have always been artists who created superb cufflinks, and some of these are now highly collectable. My cufflinks are at the other end of the market though...interesting, but cheap!

My father used to collect cuff links...nothing odd though, when he was working. Once he retired he started passing the cuff links down to the grandsons. He said he's seen enough of them for a lifetime.

Have the grandsons still got them, and do they appreciate their value? Men have started wearing them again, and there are a lot more available, new, than there were for some time. http://mikescrowlsscribblepad.blogspot.com/
