Are you often pleased with the responses you get from 'yourlot' lots?

How do you like other users to respond to you?
I'd seen folks responding curtly to other users who share their views on their(folks') own topics a la "ok","Ok Thnx","thnx","lol","really",and so on which at times is quite annoying.I wonder if they just plainly focuss on $ and not the discussions.

i had been receiving and seeing such comments and responses, too. and such responses and comments are annoying. for sure, it's obviously just trying to increase their number of points/posts. but according to mylot guidelines, it won't count. hmm. let me quote some guidlines:
"Post "Me Too!" messages; add something of substance to the conversation.
Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings.
Start meaningless discussions or give meaningless responses to try and boost your rating. Discussions like “What’s your age” will be deleted as well as short responses like “ok” or “no”. "

so, in short, such comments and responses won't get anything actually. it's just a waste of time for people doing that..plus, it's irritating!
but thank you's are sweet. but won't get paid. maybe unless when added with something after thank you. more substance and more content than just saying a word or two might get paid. not sure though. just thought about it.

yep. actually, compared to other forums i've visited, mylot or "ourlot" rather has the neatest most organized layout. easy to go over everywhere and connect to friends. not too much color, so really nice to the eyes.
and i am glad i am able to help and give the link. it's nice to share what we know to everyone.
oh, i have been around here for 6 months and i admit, i still forget the rules sometimes. so, i try to refresh my mind with the rules and go back and read the guidelines and facts when i have the time.
take care! have a nice day.

They call them as 'Doyens',one who is knowledgeable or uniquely skilled as a result of long experience in some field of endeavor.
And to me you seem to be a doyen, neat and skilled. If we have all the doyens here at mylot it would be one perfect place to be in.
You have a wonderful day.

For the most part, everyone has been very nice to me. But, we are dealing with so many ages and cultures, that there can be confusion at times with everyone I am sure. Some only focus on the dollars, other's friendship.

Personaly I would like a meaningful responce or none at all. if it's just a thanks then it's not really needed. I try in discussions I have started to at least comment on what they have said, my rule is if I can't use more then 2 words, don't respond.

yep. atleast it's better to try to share responses with thoughts in it. if one can't, better not say anything at all because it won't certainly help the discussion. it's nice to comment, too. but if there's nothing to comment about, better leave it,right?

Its not about how good is your topic but your feedbacks/response to any topics of other users does matters here. But you are doing pretty well.Just collect more ideas while you keep posting and you will be well versed with the kind of topics that may be catchy and folks will start pouring into your posts.
Good luck.
