Do you cover at all times, or only during certain prayer times? Does your cover cover all of your head or does it cover only from the ears back? What material is your covering made of? Do you have several for different occasions?
I like my covering to cover from my forhead down to at least my shoulders, but preferably longer. I am not comfortable with the top of my head exposed, I guess that is because that is the area that I sense my thoughts coming from.

Awesome! I have not heard of too many Catholics covering their head during prayer.
In my case, I have a fine head of hair, which I am happy to leave free and flowing when the weather is fine. However during the years we have travelled or lived in Islamic countries, it was a bit of a bother to have been forced to cover the head.
Just two days ago Pakistan's only woman minister was killed by a Muslim because she did not wear the Burqa and because women should not hold important political positions.
I am glad I do not live in Pakistan or some such country where I must cover myself in sackcloth, would you?

Modestah, I have little knowledge about "sack cloth and ashes" or hair-shirts for ascetics.
Would appreciate some links to help me understand this aspect.
For several years I have been studying as a hobby the status of women in Islamic countries, and that is the area where I do have some breadth and depth of understanding. Hence that reference to Islamic dogma.
Cheers!
