Father-daughter and mother-son combination

People usually say a Mother is more attracted to her son and a father to a daughter, Is it true? If so, what could be the reason? Has anybody thought of this combination?

What exactly do you mean by "attraction" in this discussion? What is the context?

Please read it as 'attachment' in place of attraction. I woudl say emotional attachment. The situation is general life practice. Nothing serious about it.

I should have usd the word attachment rather than attraction. The emotional bond between and a father and daughter is stronger than that between and father and son.There are plenty of evidences quoted. Similar is the case between a mother and son.

Ya this is true,even the reverse of this also true.I dont know what is the reason?Can you guess how it will be when a spouse has only one children?If its boy then good for mom,and girl good for dad.So that everone want to have atleast two child in family.
