I think the best way to sleep pregnant is however you are comfortable. I made the mistake of following "expert" advice the first time and only sleeping on my left side. By the time I had the baby I was in so much pain in my hips and shoulders that I cried myself to sleep each and every night. It was awful. By the last one I just slept whichever way I was comfy--including my back and my stomach until I could no longer do that comfortably (around 4 months or so). I move around so much at night it doesn't really matter anyway.

Funnily enough I sleep in the same sort of position as the person in your picture, sort of on my front and right side. I have read that if you sleep on your back with your arms near your head that you are confident and relaxed. When I was pregnant I slept on my side with a pillow under my tummy and one under my leg - so I was sort of curled up against the pillows. It can be uncomfy sleeping when you are pregnant as everything seem to get in the way.
