Loosing touch with our culture?

Why do you think that we punjabis are tending to loose touch with our culture and our religion even though it is on of the most modern religion and the culture is so rich, yet we tend to be loosing touch with it, what do you think we should do to get back in touch with our culture? dont you think that we should have more reserch on our culture our history and it should be published and made available to the modern world to read.... i have till today not come across one database that can piece together our history, all the major wars faught all the culural songs and etc etc, i think its high time that someone did something about this.. what are your views?

What I have seen is bit diffrent...I have seen people in punjab specially families who show themselves as modern including my own friends & realtives(In amritsar jalnadhar etc etc...) they advice thier children to speak hindi rather than punjabi, they feel ashamed speaking Punjabi in hotel or outside in parties, I dont know why...But same is not there when you will go outside punjab or our contries pakistan or india..they care more than us for culture.Those people have pure punjabi than mine.
