My cellphone is very important to me. Especially during my pregnancy. I am a working mother, I have to work even if it's almost time to give birth. SO everytime i go to the office by myself, i make sure that my cellphone is with me all the time, so that when something will happen to me i can call my husband right away or any member of the family. How about any insights on how important your cellphone is.

yes, I really need my cellphone at the day because most time I'm not at home and this is my only wat to contact friends and family with out visit them. but personaly, I think that nowadayz many people using their cellphones- not for calling but for playing games, serving the internet, downloading songs etc... I don't need all of this things. If I have a cellphone that knows only how to receive calls and how to phone others- it is enough for me! and I don't need all the special things that the cellphones company suggest me and earn a lot.

I don't think anyone here can survive without having one cellphone of their own. I personally owned 2 units. But I seldom used it except in tmes of emergencies. I do heard a lot that cellphones have something to do with our brain. Either we believe it or not, we still have to consider the usefulness of having one.

Studies says that when you overuse your cellphones it can harm you already. We know that it is very important and benificial to have cellphone but we have to see to it that we will not over-use using cellphone.

Ya have to agree cellphones are a necessity. What do you all think about the other facilities it provides? Do you prefer a cell phone jus wid calling and texting facilities or ones which is equiped with a camera and music player

Other features of most new cellphones now-a-days is useful. But not that useful as texting and calling. For me i enjoy having a cellphone with camera and video but it is not a necessity. I use my cellphone mostly for text and call only.

My cellphone is also important to me. I am a student and my cellphone gives me an opportunity to communicate with my friends and classmates. Whenever my friends and I would go out, I would be just a text message away. Of course, at time the cellphone is a bit bothersome as some people would pester you with futile concerns every now and then. But then again, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

I wish I can do without a handphone, lol. However, now that my parents are elderly, my sister's husband is usually overseas and she has to look after 2 young children plus commitments to my students in case of lesson changes it is definitely more convenient to have a handphone in case I need to be contacted urgently. Having a handphone nowadays seems to be a must in this modern world. I must admit that it is useful to have it to keep in touch with friends especially with sms, even without calling them.

Yes cellphone are really important these days! we live in the mobile era, and communication is very important! Information spread very fast now and cellphones are one of the reasons for this. I do have a cellphone that a usually use to make emergency call. What I really don't like about cellphones is all the extras the are putting in cellphones this days. A cellphone should be use to make only call and send messages. Everything else is just to increase it's price.

I only need to have my mobile phone with me during weekdays at work for my business partners to contact me, and I will switch off my phone when I am back home to have work life balance. On weekend, I do not carry my mobile along, since most of the time, I am with my family. Weekend is for the family.

my cellphones are like my soul, I can't be away from them, because my job requires me to have my cellphones ready by my side all the time (not at night, of course lol). I need to make and receive a lot of phone calls everyday because of my job.

I belive that it is important, I usually finish work late and it feels safer for me to have someone to talk to while going home =) aI have lost my cellphones a few times and it is a nightmare, it really feels like loosing a very valuable possesion, and I am not talking about value as in money.

To me i regard mobile phones to be a necessity and not a luxury BUT most people tend to buy high end phones just for the heck of it. I learned it the hard way, after about 3 years of changing mobile phone as often as Nokia sells the Newest one. Their mobile phones tends to get cheaper after like 3 -4 months. And for most people that are not engaged in business, high end phones are not that needed. For me now, as long as it can send and receive sms and text - that'll be my phone!

I guess I got along alright before I had a cellphone but isn't that the way with new technology. Like alot of people, I use my phone for entertainment as well. It allows me check new and weather and such when I have a few minutes waiting in line somewhere.

For me, I keep in contact via emails. I only keep my phone because some internet banking transaction uses sms for the second factor authentication. But I do agree that for your case, for situations that require real-time response, then yes, it is imperative.
