I love the Lord with all my heart. So when I recieved a link on My Space about Oprah speaking on Jesus, I was curious to see what she really felt. I was never really an Oprah fan, because I feel that with all of her fame and fortune, if she is not giving God the glory, then I am just not interested.
However, I had never really heard her speak for or against him. This has all changed. Basically, what she said is that there has to be more than one way to God than through Jesus Christ. According to my Bible, Jesus said, I Am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No Man Cometh Unto The Father Accept By Me. He said, anyone who tries to come any other way is a thief and a robber. I am sharing the link so you can see for yourselves,

I know that the Lord can change her heart and I pray that he does. The Bible says it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Tell me what you think.

This is very disappointing. I used to think that Oprah had a heart for the Lord and she has such an influence on so many people it's sad to hear. I am not surprised though. Just another sign of the times we live in.

Rozie, I couldn't get into the link you had, it said to try later. God is the one and only true living God. No one can come unto Him except through Jesus.I rarely look at Oprah anymore myself because of her beliefs about many gods and many ways of serving a god. She's into the so called new age movement. But there's nothing new about it. As it says in Ecclesiastes, that there's nothing new under the sun.

I think sometimes people who live in the spotlight has to do and say what they think will please the masses. I would not be surprised if that's what's going on. I have never heard her say what you mentioned, so I am not about to point my finger at her. I have been watching Oprah for years and like her very much, and I can only hope her heart is in the right place. Let's not forget that He said if you fail to acknowledge Him, then He too will fail to acknowledge you before His Father.

I know what you mean about celebrities compromising to fall in line with the crowd, but I would think that at some point she would draw the line. It scares me a little when the Bible proves it self true about such things as this. I put the link up for whoever wanted to see it, but the end of it was cut off. I will try again a different way. I will leave off the beginning but be sure to type it in yourself, The htt://

Oh Sh*t! I see what you mean! Well rozie all we can do is pray for her. It just shows the power of fame and fortune. She was raised in the church so I am confident she cannot stray too far. I loved how it ended, she did not have a comeback to the lady who said "Jesus cannot come back until the gospel is preached in all 4 corners of the earth"...I bet she went home and thought on that. There is only one way and it is through Jesus Christ. Amen!
